Allsorts Stock Photography

Allsorts Stock Photography was formed in 2009 as I prepared to make a career change after many years working within the public sector. The stage came where the thought of office life was no longer an option and so decided to pursue photography full-time and become the master of my own destiny. The name Allsorts should be a clue that I have no particular niche interest. The plan to pursue photography professionally goes back a very long time but like a number of things in life, plans tend to stay plans too long. Always waiting for the right time to make that life-changing move. Well, that time eventually came, and here I am. 

My main interest is in stock photography, in particular social documentary. I will also take portraits and have carried out some work for local businesses. I have an interest in news photography and supply a couple of news agencies as well. 

This year I am aiming to gain my professional accreditation with the British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP) and a distinction with the Royal Photographic Society (RPS).   

I have a BSc in International Studies and an interest in global issues, especially politics and climate change as my young daughter will reap what we have sown. Some of my photography will reflect these concerns and hopefully keep these issues in the public eye for all our sakes.
